Terms of Service

These terms govern use of the service offered at rii.link. The provider is Florian Preusner, Freester Weg 10c, 13503 Berlin, Germany — a sole proprietorship.

Deviating terms of the user do not become part of the contract, even if we do not expressly object to them.

rii.link receives HTTP requests on domains you point at us, evaluates the rules you have configured, and answers with a redirect or with content you have stored. Request analytics, QR codes and — where enabled — forwarding of incoming email are also available.

The scope of functionality follows the current product description. We continue to develop the service and may change or discontinue individual features where that is reasonable for you; we announce material restrictions by email with adequate notice.

The contract is concluded when you create an account and we have verified your email address. You must be at least 16; below that, use requires your guardian’s consent.

Keep your credentials confidential. If you suspect unauthorised access, tell us promptly at support@rii.link. You are responsible for what happens through your account to the extent the access is attributable to you.

There is a permanently free plan and paid plans. Premium currently costs €19 per month billed monthly, or €16 per month paid annually in advance. The prices and features shown on the pricing page at the time of your order are the ones that apply.

Billing is in advance for the chosen period. We announce price changes by email at least six weeks before they take effect; you may terminate with effect from the end of the current period until then.

As a small business within the meaning of §19 UStG we do not show VAT.

Consumers — natural persons entering the contract for purposes predominantly outside their trade, business or profession — have a right of withdrawal.

Withdrawal instruction

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day the contract was concluded.

To exercise it, you must inform us (Florian Preusner, Freester Weg 10c, 13503 Berlin, support@rii.link) of your decision by an unequivocal statement, for example by email. You may use the model withdrawal form below, but you are not obliged to. Sending the notification before the period expires is enough to meet the deadline.

Consequences of withdrawal

If you withdraw, we will reimburse all payments received from you without undue delay and no later than fourteen days from the day we receive your notification. We will use the same means of payment you used unless expressly agreed otherwise; you incur no fees for the reimbursement.

If you asked for performance to begin during the withdrawal period, you owe us a reasonable amount corresponding to the proportion of the service already supplied up to the point of withdrawal, measured against the full scope of the contract (§357(8) BGB).

Early expiry of the right

For a contract for the supply of services, the right of withdrawal expires where we have fully performed and only began performance after you gave your express consent and simultaneously acknowledged that you lose your right of withdrawal upon full performance (§356(4) BGB).

Model withdrawal form

A redirection service is open to misuse, so this section is specific. You must not use rii.link to:

• point to phishing pages, malware or fraudulent offers;
• distribute links in unsolicited bulk messages (spam);
• obscure the origin or destination of a link in order to circumvent security mechanisms, filters or blocks;
• distribute content that infringes third-party rights or applicable law;
• place automated load on the service beyond what was agreed, or circumvent security measures.

On reasonable suspicion we may temporarily suspend individual links or domains. We will tell you as soon as doing so does not jeopardise the investigation, and lift the suspension if the suspicion is not confirmed. Serious or repeated breaches entitle us to terminate for cause.

Your redirect destinations, stored response bodies and uploaded files remain your content. You warrant that you hold the necessary rights and indemnify us against third-party claims arising from a breach of that warranty.

We do not review your content in advance and are under no general monitoring obligation (§§7–10 DDG). Once we obtain knowledge of unlawful content we will act. Reports of unlawful content are received at legal@rii.link.

We take only the rights of use needed to operate the service — in particular to store your content and serve it on request.

We operate the service with due care but owe no particular level of availability. Where possible we schedule maintenance outside peak hours and announce planned interruptions. Any different commitment applies only where individually agreed in writing.

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under the Product Liability Act. For simple negligence we are liable only for breach of an obligation whose fulfilment makes proper performance of the contract possible in the first place and on whose observance you may regularly rely (cardinal obligation), limited in amount to the damage typically foreseeable at the time the contract was concluded.

For loss of data we are liable only to the extent the loss would also have occurred had you kept proper and regular backups. We provide export facilities.

The free plan runs indefinitely and can be ended at any time. Paid plans run for the chosen period and renew for the same period unless terminated beforehand.

You can terminate at any time in your account. Termination takes effect at the end of the current billing period; access continues until then. There is no pro-rata refund of fees already paid — statutory rights, in particular under section 5 of these terms, remain unaffected.

After the contract ends your data remains deletable and exportable for 30 days and is then removed. Both parties’ right to terminate for cause remains unaffected.

We notify you of changes to these terms by email at least six weeks before they take effect. If you do not object before they take effect they are deemed accepted; we point this out separately in the notification. If you object, either side may terminate as of the effective date.

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. For consumers, mandatory protective provisions of the state of their habitual residence remain unaffected.

Statutory rules govern the place of jurisdiction; we make no deviating agreement. Should any provision be invalid, the remainder of the contract remains effective.

We are neither willing nor obliged to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
